Whadda Day!

Morning, morning ... Just a few minutes here this morning. I’d like to say a few things about "treats." For all you that were taught you would spoil the child if given treats, raise your hands! I say this is just wrong thinking! Rebel!!!

Cuz, you know it comes down to a few basics. If we’ve managed the whole week and still have $12.70 in the bank, you gotta know we’re going for the Chinese! That’s our special treat. There’s a real good place just around the corner of Dr. M’s. We simply love their Governor’s chicken. It’s become a Thursday, "Thing."

Usually, we look forward to this even if the session with Dr. M’s been tough. Most often we figure if we’ve made it to this appointment that the rest is all easy going. What’s a Friday? Hmpf?! Nothin ... specially cuz its going to involve left over chicken from the night before. We’re that kind of person who lives for left overs. Hmm, a little camp? Eh, you would understand if you were single and cooking disabled!

AND, this weekend we figured out ... is going to be three-days! Hoorah!!!

With the help of friends, we’ve even got clean laundry and groceries set up! Laundries in the closet on hangers now and groceries will be delivered between 8:00 am and 10:00 am tomorrow morning. We’ve got some more special treats. First is cottage cheese. One of our favorites. It’s the reward we get for putting away the groceries. Then someone has suggested ice cream for the kitties. So, we got a pint for both. They won’t eat it all in one sitting :) We also remembered to order some chips with a new kind of salsa. That will be for the Sunday football game. And, lastly we were talked into getting some Asian ingredients. Yep, yep ... we’re going to try cooking our OWN CHINESE!

Lordy, what a motivator that is. Had no idea how expensive meat was. I remember long time ago, doing something with our wok. Going to go all out this time. Hmm, I wonder if our son would be interested. Nah, let’s not get him thinking that we’re going to pick up cooking again. It’s enough he know that we’ve broken in and will use the microwave to "cook" his daughter potatoes and chicken fingers. Besides, I think he'll be in the Bahamas next week.  That kid needs no favors!

Hmm, with all this excitement, its going to be tough working through the day. Just a couple of reports and a meeting to lead for staff training. Can do that standing on one hand. Well, that’s if the rest of our body was sitting down in a chair. But, something like that.

Shoot, we’ve almost done nailed the day ... just gotta take that shower and get out the door. Well that and finish our cup of coffee, don’t mean to be hasty.

Now, don’t forget ... Take up arms!! TREAT!!!
